# Quickstart

Welcome to Information Markets! Follow this Quick Start Guide to get up and running in minutes. This guide covers the essential steps for setting up, making a prediction, and claiming rewards.

### Step 1: Connect to the Platform

1\. Go to [Information Market](https://beta.info.markets).

2\. Click the **“Connect with X”** button in the top-right corner.

3\. Authorize the connection on the X platform, then you’ll be redirected back to Information Market.

### Step 2: Complete Your Profile

1\. Once redirected, fill in your profile details, including gender and age range.

2\. Click **“Save”** to store your information.<br>

### Step 3: Connect Your Wallet

1\. Click on **“Connect Wallet”** in the top-right corner.

2\. Choose a compatible wallet provider, such as MetaMask.

3\. Follow the prompts to authorize your wallet connection to Information Market.

### Step 4: Browse and Select a Poll

1\. Explore the homepage to find **active polls** where you can place bets.

2\. Click on an pool to view details, including **poll description, betting options**, and **expiration countdown**.

### Step 5: Place Your Bet

1\. Choose the prediction option that matches your forecast.

2\. Enter the bet amount.

3\. Click **“Cast Vote”**, and confirm the transaction in your wallet to submit your vote.

*Note*: Once placed, your vote is recorded on the Arbitrum blockchain and cannot be altered.

### Step 6: Check Event Results and Claim Rewards

1\. After the poll concludes, return to the pool's detail page to see the final outcome.

2\. If your prediction was correct, click **“Claim Reward”** to receive your payout.

3\. Confirm the transaction in your wallet, and your reward will be transferred directly to your wallet.
